1. What is ECM 2025?
The European Capitals Meeting (ECM) 2025, is an annual gathering of Junior Chamber International members from across Europe. It is an informal JCI event hosted by a different European Capital each year, creating opportunities for friendship, culture, and business exchange among JCI members in Europe.
ECM (European Capitals Meeting), which started in 1993, took place in Berlin, Brussels, and Ankara, followed by many other European cities. It is an event held annually in a different country to promote friendship, solidarity, and business development opportunities among JCI local organizations in the capitals of Europe.
2. Who can attend to ECM 2025?
The event is open to all JCI members, alumni, partners, and prospective members interested in leadership, networking, and making a positive impact
3. When does the European Capitals Meeting (ECM) 2025, Ankara, TURKEY take place ?
ECM 2025 will be held between 15th of May – 18th of May, 2025, and as an additional program to the meeting, Cappadocia tour is planned from 18th of May to 20th of May.
4. Where the events will be held during the ECM program ?
The event will be held in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, covering its districts as well. Meeting point for the event will be at DIVAN ÇUKURHAN Hotel, located at the very center of Ankara, and also very accessible to guests from other destinations planned within the program.

7. What are the details of the tickets?
RUMI – RUMI, is one of the most basic ticket for ECM 2025, without accommodation for € 240.00, if purchased within the Early-Bird dates, includes ECM events and GALA event which will take place 17th of May. Buyers of this ticket are also expected to purchase tickets forcollective events such as the Rakı Night and the Costume Party.
SABIHA GOKCEN SKY – SABIHA GOKCEN SKY, is one of the accommodation-included tickets for € 500.00, if purchased within the Early-Bird dates, which includes ECM events, GALA and three-night stay with breakfast in a double room at the historic and iconic Divan Çukurhan Hotel, located close to many event venues, which also the meeting point for the meeting.
KING MIDAS – KING MIDAS, is another the accommodation-included ticket for € 400.00, if purchased within the Early-Bird dates, which includes ECM events, GALA and three-night stay with breakfast in a triple room at the historic and iconic Divan Çukurhan Hotel, located close to many event venues, which also the meeting point for the meeting.
THEODORA – THEODORA, is an all-inclusive ticket without accommodation for € 350.00, if purchased within the Early-Bird dates, which includes ECM events, GALA, Rakı Night and Costume Party.
ALEXANDER THE GREAT – ALEXANDER THE GREAT, is one of the most inclusiveticket for € 625.00, if purchased within the Early-Bird dates, which includes ECM events, GALA, three-night stay with breakfast in a double room at the historic and iconic Divan Çukurhan Hotel, Rakı Night and Costume Party.
SULEIMAN THE MAGNIFICENT – SULEIMAN THE MAGNIFICENT, is another all-inclusive ticket for € 525.00, if purchased within the Early-Bird dates, which includes ECM events, GALA, three-night stay with breakfast in a triple room at the historic and iconic Divan Çukurhan Hotel, Rakı Night and Costume Party.
RAKI NIGHT TICKET – This ticket is for the Rakı Night event, which will be held on May 15th for € 75,00 , if purchased within the Early-Bird dates, Ticket holders will enjoy unlimited Turkish Rakı, Meze and traditional music on their first night. If you already have Ticket Theodora, Alexander The Great, or Suleiman The Magnificent, you do not need to purchase this ticket separately.
COSTUME PARTY TICKET – This ticket is for the Costume Party/Dinner event, which will be held on May 16th for € 100,00 , if purchased within the Early-Bird dates, Ticket holders will enjoy unlimited Alcohol and dinner on their second night. If you already have Ticket Theodora, Alexander The Great, or Suleiman The Magnificent, you do not need to purchase this ticket separately.
8. What are the Early-Bird dates ?
Early bird : 1st of Feb. – 28th of Feb.
Regular : 1st of March – 30th of April.
Late : 30th of April – 10th of May.
9. Can I change my ticket, or transfer it to another participant?
Yes, you can transfer your ticket to another person if you are unable to attend ECM 2025. Please contact our registration team at [insert contact email] to request the transfer. Ticket transfers must be completed by two weeks before the event, and the new attendee’s details must be provided during the process. Ticket refunds are not available

11. What currency should I bring?
Turkey has it’s own currency, the Turkish Lira or TL.
The currency exchange rates would be as follows:
- 1 USD = 35.55 TL
- 1 Euro = 36.56 TL
- 1 Pound = 43.92 TL
If you would like to make any conversions, you can preferably use currency exchange offices which are commonly found throughout the city and the Esenboğa Airport if necessary.
In Turkey, the most common payment method is by card (contactless) or other digital payment options. While most establishments accept both cards and cash, there may be some small boutiques or roadside/gift shops that only accept cash.
12. How do I charge my laptop / phone etc.?
Turkey, like most other European countries, has type C and F with 230 V, frequency 50 Hertz (Hz). current and uses two-pin continental plugs.
13. How is the weather in Ankara, Turkey around 15-18th May?
In May, the weather in Ankara is generally mild and pleasant. Daytime temperatures typically range from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). It is a great time to visit as the weather is warm but not too hot. Nights can be cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 10°C to 15°C (50°F to 59°F). There might be occasional rain showers, but overall, May is a comfortable month for outdoor activities in Ankara.
14. Which airports can I use?
In Ankara, the primary airport you can use is Esenboğa Airport (ESB). It is located approximately 28 kilometers (17 miles) northeast of the city center and serves both domestic and international flights. Esenboğa Airport is an international airport, and transfers can also be made from Istanbul.
Depending on the arrival times, our ECM participants will be greeted by our COC team members and transportation to the hotel will be provided via shuttles.

15. What are the features and history of Divan Çukurhan Hotel?
Divan Çukurhan Hotel is located near the historic center of Ankara and is a modernized version of an old Ottoman structure that has been converted into a hotel. Çukurhan was built as a caravanserai during the Ottoman period, making the hotel both historically and culturally significant. Built in the 16th century, this structure is an important example of the rich architectural heritage of the Ottoman Empire. This hotel is a popular choice for both business and leisure travelers, thanks to its proximity to key cultural and tourist attractions in the area.
With a view of Ankara Castle, guests can explore the museum within the hotel and experience a traditional Turkish bath (hammam).
